Leslie Korn, Ph.D., MPH, LMHC
Leslie Korn, Ph.D., MPH, LMHC  
Leslie Korn, Ph.D., MPH, LMHC, is a renowned expert in two interrelated disciplines: Integrative Medicine and nutrition for mental health, and Cross Cultural Psychology and Counseling. Her humor, breadth of knowledge and style of presentation make her seminars exciting and practice-changing. She has over 40 years of experience as a clinician, educator and research scientist and has worked in urban and rural settings with diverse communities including Latino/a and Native communities. She lived and worked in the jungle of Mexico for over 25 years where she directed a public health clinic working alongside traditional healers. Dr. Korn also had a successful private practice for 15 years in Boston where she introduced somatic psychotherapy and yoga at Harvard Medical School in 1985.

Dr. Korn has a dual doctorate in Behavioral Medicine and Traditional (indigenous) Medicine, and a Masters of Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Korn also earned a Masters in cross-cultural health psychology from Lesley University where she taught for 20 years. She was a clinical fellow and instructor in psychology and religion at Harvard Medical School, the former clinical director of the New England school of Acupuncture, and Faculty at the National college of Naturopathic Medicine. She is an approved clinical supervisor, a licensed mental health counselor, and was a Fulbright scholar in Mexico and an NIH-funded scientist conducting research on massage and Polarity therapy. Dr. Korn is the author of Nutrition Essentials for Mental Health: The Complete Guide to the Food Mood Connection, Eat Right Feel Right: 50 recipes and Tips to Improve Mood, Sleep, Attention & Focus, Rhythms of Recovery: Trauma, Nature and the Body, The Multicultural Workbook, Preventing and Treating Diabetes Naturally: The Native Way, and the forthcoming The Good Mood Kitchen. Dr. Korn is core faculty and fieldwork supervisor in mental health counseling at Capella University and maintains an international clinical consulting and coaching practice for clinicians and their clients.
Dr. Kristen Allott, ND, LAC
Dr. Kristen Allott, ND, LAC  
Dr. Kristen Allott, ND, LAc, is a high energy and enthusiastic speaker who is passionate about integrative medicine. She advocates that by effectively treating physical and energetic contributors to anxiety and depression, clients can better engage in the therapeutic process. As a licensed naturopathic physician and acupuncturist, she has a private practice where she specializes in working with the clients of mental health professionals. Dr. Allott has developed a reputation for assisting clients in making simple changes in their food choices and for addressing nutritional deficiencies that contribute to the symptoms of anxiety, depression, addictions and other mental health disorders. Through acupuncture therapy she helps her clients remember what it is like to feel better until they can sustain this feeling on their own.

Dr. Allott has worked as a residential counselor for adolescents in mental health crises and advocated for the educational rights for individuals with learning disabilities. She is currently on the academic faculty at Bastyr University and serves as a guest lecturer for a variety of groups. As a physician and acupuncturist, she enjoys studying how daily life affects the biochemistry, physiology, and qi (energy) of the body. As a black belt in Aikido, she has studied the intimate connections between the mind, emotions and body.

Jeff Mares
Jeff Mares  Operations Manager
Jeff Mares brings over 4 years’ experience in developing and managing projects in the continuing education and professional certification industry. He also brings another 8 years’ experience doing everything under the sun necessary to start and run his own business. If you find Jeff outside of our office, chances are you will find him either biking through the woods or the county highways outside of Eau Claire, WI, cooking and testing up some new food idea or cheering on the USA Men’s National soccer team.
Claire Zelasko
Claire Zelasko  Certifications Manager
Claire Watson Zelasko, MBA, has over 10 years’ experience working in the continuing education industry. She specializes in working with experts in their fields to develop educational content for fellow professionals. Additionally, Claire brings years of experience in relationship building, sales, marketing and new product development to her role as Certifications Manager.

Her prior work experiences have included careers in banking and manufacturing.
